Can I temporaily deactivate my internet for a few months when I leave town?

As I leave the country for a few months at a time I need to know if I can temporary deactivate and reactivate when I return. I need this information asap to know if Fizz is a good choice for my internet needs?

Hi Linda,

No, you need to unsubscribe and return your modem

1- Log into your account and go to Manage.
2- Click on Unsubscribe.
3- Scroll to the bottom and confirm by clicking Unsubscribe.
4- Tell us why you are unsubscribing.
5- Enter the date when you want Home Internet service to end.
6- Click Unsubscribe.
7- On the next screen, download, write down or print your return ID number and follow the instructions for returning your Wi-Fi modem.

Important: You have 15 days following the date you unsubscribe to return your Wi-Fi modem, or else you will be charged the amount of $150 (plus applicable taxes). Detailed instructions will follow.

Hi Linda,

Like Mike said, you need to unsubscribe. Fortunately, it is very easy to reactivate your Internet plan.

As mentioned, you can only unsubscribe, return your modern and then resubscribe. Fizz currently does not offer a 'pause' mode.

Like the other said you have to unsubscripte and send back the modem who is sad. But if you whant to keep it you can select the lowest speed. Yes you will still pay but its an option.

I dont no if you can just keep the modem, pay the 150$ fee and reuse the modem when you reactivate (but i dont think so because Fizz dont have the option to buy the modem just rent it for free)

Hi Linda,

Yeah, only cancelling and re-subscribing. This is really bad tbh. At least to bring the modem back and requesting it again is free. It's a waste of for Fizz and the environment - but they don't provide a better solution, so be it.

The thing is that if you were on the beta testers and have kept the beta price, you will lose that price by cancelling the subscription
