It said I used 2 gigs of data in one day but my data was off?

The amount of data your phone uses may vary depending on how you use it, which native installations are running on it, and which applications you have installed.

Some applications, native or not, can use your mobile data in the background.

For example, cloud-based apps such as Google Drive or Apple iCloud could be using your data to automatically backup your photos, videos, and documents.

You can also check your mobile data usage directly via your phone.

The steps to follow to check your data usage can vary depending on the type of phone you have. Here are two examples:

Android: Settings → Connections → Data usage → Mobile data usage

iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Cellular data usage

You can also contact customer support by chat to find a solution/agreement

Usually there are only 3 ways to use your data.
1. Gifting it to another member.
2. Data will rollover for up 90 days in your account. After the third renewal, the unused data will expire.
3. Consumed data knowingly or accidentally through your SIM card/phone. Sometimes there can be a delay on the Fizz account counter before it shows the data as being consumed (especially if you are roaming or using Fizz ext network). If possible, please check the mobile data usage over the last week or month on your phone settings versus Fizz account data.

If you want to contact Fizz, you can Live chat with support:
1- Connect to your Fizz account by clicking « Login » in the top right corner at fizz.ca
2- Any ad blockers in your browser should be disabled.
3- Open a Fizz help page like this one: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/my-telephone-is-using-an-usual-or-...
4- The green chat bubble should appear after a few seconds in the bottom right corner.

Can i suggest to contact the Fizz customer service by chat.
In my case:
I can share with you than yesterday and this morning it shows an utilisation on my mobile account of 501 mo, it's a mistake of display i think. The amount of data use today is 4, 5 mo.

sometimes my wifi doesn't work effectively and i use more data than i thought. If you watched movies using your phone it can happen.

As Mike said, i also suggest you go in the settings to check your mobile data usage. if you need extra data, the community will give you some im sure.

It is a mistake on Fizz’s part because today it shows yesterday I used 2 mb and today 2 GB.
So everyday this is happening. I will speak to customer service.

I think I have the same problem: today it shows that I used 1 giga of internet while I have been under a wifi network for all the time.
