Therefore you must but an addon or add money in your wallet if you need the calls
With 3 $ addon he can have 60 minutes, but round at the next minute, therefore if he receive or make a call of 1 seconds it will calculated as a minute

Add-Ons are active immediately. They’re valid until the end of your next payment cycle.

In other words, if there are 10 days left on your current payment cycle, your Add-On will be valid for approximately 40 days.

For $10.46 + taxes monthly, you get a phone number with Quebec coverage and no services included. Incoming texts are always free and included with every plan.

So as mentioned by others, your friend can buy the 60 minutes calling add-on for $3 every month or every 2 months depending on their phone usage. Once purchased, add-ons are valid until the end of your next payment cycle (so up to a maximum of 2 months).

Keep in mind that with Quebec coverage, your friend will be able to use the phone while in Quebec and can call to any number within Quebec. If your friend wishes to call outside Quebec, then you can purchase a long distance calling add-on or select the plan with Canada and/or USA coverage.
