Anyone with Magic Jack (including my home phone) can not call my cell?

I switched from Telus to Fizz using the same cell number. But my family can not call my cell from their phone, serviced by Magic Jack. Other people can call me with other servers. I can call a Magic Jack customer but they can't call me. They are told my cell is out of service.

Hi Cathy

If you recently switched over, it can take a day or longer before all providers update their systems.

If others are able to call you without any issue, there is not much you can do except wait.

Calls from Magic Jack VOIP provider should work tonight or tomorrow. Be patient.

I have a MagicJack device also for my home service.
I have no problem to communicate with my cell one way or the other.
Maybe it is a MagicJack issue ? I would try to call them first.

Did not have any problems with MagicJack either, even tested my new cell line with Fizz when it was first connected.
If problem is not solved by tomorrow, I would contact MagikJack also.

I have experienced a few problems with my Magic Jack service lately, but never had any problems between Fizz and Magic Jack.
Maybe the problem is with MJ.

Hi Cathy,
This situation mostly happend with voip service and this is not only with Fizz but with every ported number. with voip service it can takes days for the update to be processed.

It finally worked. I switched to Fizz on a Friday evening. That is when I could not call my cell from home (using Magic Jack service). On Monday morning I was able to call my cell from home. I did contact Magic Jack to explain my problem and gave them my cell number. Thanks everyone for your help
