Moving into a new home. Ex-owner uses FIZZ, I also want Fizz. How will the installation work?

Hi all,

I'm moving into a new home end of Feb. The ex-owner uses Fizz, I'm also interested in using Fizz. There's already an installation (model and internet equipment). Do i still need to ask for a new installation?

Sadly, you won't be able to keep the home internet plan activated by old tenant. I therefore suggest you to create a new order and book a new installation appointment.

Just to be sure, I suggest contacting customer support to let them know that the previous owner was also a Fizz client. Tell them you have his old equipment.

I’m quite sure that you will need a new Fizz modem, and that the previous owner will need to bring his Fizz modem with him or return it to Fizz.
To confirm this, please contact Fizz. Personally I communicate with them by messenger, that’s what works best for me.

I've noticed in many situations (even beyond IT) that we are best to follow the main process.  Even if we have the best intentions, changing a recipe is looking for problems.

The instalation and modem is included in your Fizz subscription.  You'll have better chances to simply create a new subscription and start fresh.

The old tenant can't let you their Fizz modem.
Yes, you need to order Fizz internet plan
and fix a date for the auto-installation of the modem.
A technician will bring you the fizz modem and will verify the signal of your connection.
This auto-installation is free.
You just have to connect the modem to the coaxial câble.
All the instructions are included with the modem.
It's not so difficult to do.
You can also choose the complete installation made by the technician, it costs 30.00$.

Yes you do the technician who comes will probably will have a easier job. but for you I would not make any difference you just plug the modem when you get it

Yes the only difference is that the technician will have an easier job. but for you it would be the same as a new installation you will just need to connect the Fizz modem

Hi,
I would do exactly what MichelP has recommended. Schedule your appointment online and be present when the technician comes (give yourself +/- 30 minutes from set time). Most likely you will have to have new equipment and I would recommend this anyways. There is no lease fee and you only have to give it back after you are no longer a customer.
And of course, use someone's referral code to get your $25 refund. My referral code is J3CL1.

Just book an appointment and also use a referral code to get 25$ off.

It doesn't change anything if the last owner was also from Fizz since the installation process is included in the price.
