Answered question

Was does my Internet cut every night at 23:59 for about 1 minute?

Strange thing I've noticed if I play an Online game or stream something on YouTube, my Internet cuts for about 1 minute every night at 23:59. What dumb setting I've I activated in my Fizz modem-router to have such a useless feature?

Interesting.  Are you sure it's your internet connection, your modem/router or could it be the device you're using?

One way to isolate the cause is to try to reproduce this 1 minute interruption on more than 1 device. For example, watch YouTube on your laptop, as well as on your phone (using WiFi obviously), on your Chromecast and on your Firestick (for example).

If they all get cut 1 minute, then it maybe be your modem/router.  If only one cuts, then it may be some configuration for that device.

Maybe, it's caused by the configuration of your modem/router.

Well I game and stream video content on my computer which is wire directly on the Fizz modem-router. When it went down a couple of days ago same time), I also tried going on YouTube on my cell phone, not Internet until that minute passed.

It could be a scheduled reboot, which can be set in dd-wrt for example.

As far as I can tell, the CODA-4680 does not have such a feature. Some people even look for it: https://community.fizz.ca/questions/2028915-automatically-reboot-modem

Is there any other networking (router, access point, etc) or power (UPS, smart plug, etc) device that might have a scheduled reboot feature which could be interrupting your connection?

@hc0468
The only thing I replaced in my network is my old Dlink Router and Videotron modem for this Fizz modem-router combo, nothing else changed.

Never mind, found out what the issue was. I've used Mac filtering in my routers for the past 15 years and I made no exception for the one that Fizz provided me with. Only thing is, I just noticed the "Manage" feature next to each one of my devices. By default, it manages them everyday 24/7, guess when it reaches 23:59 is when it causes my issue. I can't turn it off or else it removes my device from Mac filtering and changing the time range makes the device offline during that off time.

What a stupid feature, guess I'll need to buy a gigabit router since I can't rely on this things and my old one was only 100mb/s. So much for saving money this year with Internet, gonna take a many months to break even with the cost of a new router.

In that case maybe disable MAC filtering for now and see if the problem goes away.

Do the lights on the router remain on at that exact time?

Maybe you have an auto reboot setting
Can you verify that it s really your internet or the device you re using?
Do you have a backup that causes the internet to go down?

@Martin
Well I found the solution to my own problem, but I can't mark my own answer.
