Just received a SMS regarding a referral bonus after a friend joined Fizz. My question is :is this normal?
I thought and read that the payment would be applied directly to my account.
I am poo pretty sure that it is but just asking the community or the invisible employees, is this a scam?

Yes you should receive an SMS and an EMAIL
You can also check on your portal My profile -> Referral bonuses

You are notified every time a referred friend subscribes, activates their account and makes their second payment. You will receive an in-account notification, and depending on your communications preferences, an email or a text.
To track the status of your invited friends, and know the amount of the referral bonus you'll receive (or referral bonuses if several of your friends activated their plan using your referral code) :
- Go to My Profile in your Fizz account.
Select Referral Bonuses.
To see the referral bonuses that were applied to your payments, check your Transaction history.

It's normal that you are receiving a message from Fizz by sms or an email about a referral bonus.
Go into your account
At profile, check, referral bonus, you will have all the information about the user who has taken your referral code.10 -

yes this is normal.
and when auto applied to your account the charge should read 0 for that month or - the referral bonus from your monthly cost .
I have had two go through ... a free month is always nice

Yes, as soon as your referred person activates it, Fizz will send you an SMS informing you.
It will also informs you when the rebate will actually take place (2nd or 3rd payment, depending on the promotion)7 -

It should be noted that this appears to be a Scam --- In a recent post more details were added and it is not the usual sms we have received. It was asking for banking info and had a odd link in it as well.
I'm posting here to alert those of you who are on often to be aware that there might be scams aimed at fizz users now.
So though we though it was benign we did not have all the details.
Anyhow Be aware and keep the community safe.
To Clarify the poster was Being scammed , not scamming us7
