Did you already try to put the phone in airplane mode for 20 seconds?
Also double check the apn?

Did you check to make sure your payment went through properly?
Even if your plan were to change to have no data, you would still have the data upgrade.
If you have voice (minutes) in your plan, and if it works. That means your account is active.
You might want to check and reset the APN so that can access the Fizz wireless network
As Eder suggests, things seem to point towards a programming malfunction on the cellphone rather than an account issue. Sometimes this might occur after doing an upgrade on the device
