There are two posts from several months ago and both reported problems:

Fizz coverage map says Hawaii is covered, but make sure your roaming is ON.

You can contact Fizz via Facebook messenger to double-check.

I read somewhere on the forum that Fizz sim doesn't work in Hawaii, Alaska and Guantanamo. I wouldn't take a chance.

The definitive answer is YES Fizz works in Hawaii, courtesy of @Maxime, (original link in French https://communaute.fizz.ca/questions/1911922-essaye-couve...).

Here's a translation:

"Functional coverage also in Maui, at least in more populated areas (near Kihei and Kahului), I do not know yet for more remote areas."

"Functional coverage also at Kauai and Big Island. Generally via the AT & T network, sometimes on the T Mobile network. Sometimes not LTE, but in general it is there. In some more remote places, I did not have service, but in all the inhabited areas, it was functional."
