Unanswered question
Periodically when I receive an MMS message I get "Mretrieveconf Billing Error text0" instead. Not every time and not just from one person. Any ideas?

Just in case, to be clear, you need mobile data to download MMS files.
Do you have data on your plan ? If you don't, give yourself the 250mb free data and that will help you receive MMS messages.
Yep, plenty of data since the price was right. And like I said, it's only sometimes. Most MMS come through
