Out of zone coverage, any costs? How does it work?

Hello, I am considering switching but its not clear what happens with I travel outside of the "green" area. Honestly, I live in Ottawa, can travel frequently to Montreal to see family. A couple of time a year I travel to Halifax or Vancouver. Now I would suspect that MOST of voice/data consumption would happen in the FIZZ area, but I can travel out of zone for a couple of day, 2 or 3 months in row. How would that impact by billing?
