Everything works except receiving SMS and MMS

Hi,

I have just signed up and after setting up APN settings... Everything seems to be working EXCEPT for receiving SMS and MMS messages.

I am able to send but I don't get the replies.

I have a Pixel 2 XL... I tried the SIM in an iPhone and even on the iPhone I cannot receive texts. So it must be something wrong with my account.

I've tried multiple things - like resetting the network settings, rebooting countless times, etc... Even added the +14385200092 telephone number to the Messages app to no avail...

Is there a way where I could reset - or force an update of my settings from Fizz?

Yes, Martin while logged into your account go to the help page. Under the help page select any of the FAQ links. Once there, scroll all the way to the bottom. Wait about 30seconds and a chat bubble should appear. You will now have a chance to speak through live chat.

Did you just transfer your phone from another service provider ? If so it coult take several hours before you can receive calls and sms.

I tried your link... But I get to a blank page. Hmmm...

I did receive one text notification regarding my voicemail, but did not get a second.

I have a feeling my account is half activated or something. I seem to be missing some options in my portal. The "resend notifications" option should be in my Manage Plans.. but I don't even see it. :(

I guess resend wouldn't work either, since I can't receive texts anyways.

MT everything else works however, calls, data, and all outgoing send SMS and MMS.. just not incoming.

In order to get to The "resend notifications' ( which is supposed to be the link that I send ).
Here is how you can get there
<My plan>
<Manage Plan>
<Advanced Parameter>
<Fizz network parameter>
.

In my account under <Manage Plan>.. I don't even have the <Advanced Parameter> option....

That's why I think my account is corrupt or something. I have a few options missing as well like, I can't get my referral code and such.

The same thing is happening to me, I've just switched over from Rogers, and I can send texts, but am not receiving them. I tried resending the network parameters on my account on the website, but I get an error message.

<p>Did you just port? If you didn't receive the email with your service contract the port may not have fully completed.</p>

I could never receive those advanced parameters on my pixel 3, but worked on a moto g5. Double check your APN too. Otherwise contact support.

Ya I ported at around 11pm yesterday morning. Everything started working pretty much within a few minutes. I was able to call my cell and such. Could it take this long to fully port over? Perhaps the texting part is still going to Rogers for some reason...

I contacted support on Facebook Messenger... Crickets after 4 hours. :( Is there a better way to contact Fizz?
