If you look at the add-ons for International Calls for United States, it lists the Pay As You Go rate as 0.30 / minute.
This rate is for Zone 1 countries which include: Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Mongolia, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Puerto Rico, Romania, Australia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Sweden, Canada, Brazil, China, Colombia, Denmark, United Kingdom, United States,

the PAYGO rate is fine for the occasional short call. If you intend to call the US regularly, it may be a cheaper option just to add US coverage on your plan.7
