cannot activate mobile data?

New account, got voice and text working but no data.

I have a iPhone X, 10GB plan, 0GB used (since its never worked) followed the 11 step troubleshooting guide and even reset my network settings and still unable to use mobile data.

Located in Ottawa, checked but didn't see anything about outages.

Can anyone help?

Go to settings, general, about. Scroll down and see what Carrier you are on. It should be Fizz 34.1. If not, connect to wife and and update window should come up.

There is no APN parameters you can set manually on iPhone.

To have a iPhone updating the carrier network, you need a internet connection. Therefore, the first time you try to get the carrier update from Fizz, you might need to connect to internet trough a WiFi connection. so it can download the parameters package.

Thank you for all of quick replies.

I'm already running the newest ios so I tried getting fizz to resend me the network settings package via My plans > Manage plan > Advance parameters > Fizz network parameters > resend me the notifications

but I never got any text messages from fizz over the last 40 mins since I've tried.

I am connected to wifi on the iphone, and restarted several times

I believe the network parameters only get sent to Android devices. They don't come to my iphone, just my LG G3. I just updated my ios to 12.1, updated carrier to Fizz 34.1 and it worked.

When you connect to wifi, a window should pop up asking if you want to update the carrier. Maybe try clicking on it, or turning phone on and off?

Try to use the iphone configuration utility tool to set apn manually.
