Does anyone else feel like this is completely backwards?

It's like being in the twilight zone.
Fizz keeps telling me they can't port my number.
My number is ported, I can make, and take calls on my Fizz SIM card.
I cannot receive any texts.
And when I bring that up, they tell me my old account is closed, and I'll need to contact Fido to have them activate the account so I can port the number.
I tell them, my number is 100% working on my Fizz SIM card, my old SIM card is dead, the number has ported to Fizz, my old account is closed.
Then they tell me they can't port my number. . . .
It's like, crazy land.
Can someone help me explain it better?
What am I not saying right.
When I say, "My number is 100% ported to Fizz, my old account automatically closed (because of the port). I can make + take calls, + send texts using my number on Fizz - I just can't get texts", is that clear?
Does anyone understand?
