When I enter a phone number or email address, nothing happens. Customer service said they're working on it a week ago but no luck. Any tips?

Unfortunately Fizz had to disable the search contact option for now, likely to investigate this problem: https://community.fizz.ca/questions/2544662-fizz-members-targeted-text-message-phishing
We'll have to wait for Fizz to reactivate it.
Meanwhile you can still gift data from your plan to other Fizz members.
Go to My Plans → Click gift from the account → Start Gifting -> Gift to a new fried
Enter the phone number or email This will open the gifting tool, it is preferable to use the phone number

I Hope Fizz is on the project because this is a nice feature that was there in the beginning, but they "close" it.
Maybye check with FIZZ support.
Fizz has disabled this option for the time being. You can still gift data though. Just use their phone number or referral code.
Yes, they disabled the feature to fix a bug! It should come back eventually
