What should I do if Fizz modem becomes defective even after all possible tests or factory reset?

My second question is : could Fizz remotely diagnose that their modem at my house is defective and send me a new one?

Yes the modem can be tested remotely from support, if they find that it has some problems they will schedule an appointment with the technician
Remember all fizz support is 100% on line11
