    Usually the technician do not call, he will ring to your door. If you have a problem with the door bell leave a message near it. This is the text from the guide.

    If the technician is planning to be at the address earlier or later, he’ll let you know by calling you at the number you provided when you planned this appointment.

    Not much to add to what Mike already said.
    Make sure you leave something near the door so that the technician can see it.

    Mine did call when he was on the way to let me know, that way I also had his number to call back once I confirmed all was up and running.
    Mike's advice is good thought, leave a note next to the bell to knock
