I'm new to Fizz, I'm trying to subscribe to fizz home internet using a referral code but during the set up process it doesn't ask me for the code, also, at the end there is a never ending loading icon. For whatever reason when I click on the chat icon nothing appears.

You can enter the referral code only at the creation of your first plan under one account.
Therefore, if you already have a plan, you need to open a new account.
Regarding the loading problem, did you try to pick a different date
In case of problem, you can contact Fizz support by chat
1- Log in to your account (see top right).
2- Any ad blocker in your browser must be disabled.
3- You must be on a help sheet: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-invite-friends-to-join-fizz
4- The green bubble should appear in bottom right of the page
Other answers
As Mike already correctly mentioned, you need to enter the referral before you activate your plan. Usually in the Summary/Overview page there is a dedicated space where you can type in the code. If you forgot to do that and already activated, a discount cannot be retroactively be applied.

As Mike wrote, you can use a referral only when you are activating your first plan.
In your case, others have encountered a similar issue. Here are 2 suggestions:
1. Clear your browser cache and try with a new tab in private mode.
2. Select a different appointment date/time. The one you are selecting seems to be causing the time-out issue.

You need to enter the referral code before you activate your account. Otherwise you will lose the option to do so.

Please, note that referral code can be apply only when we are subscribing for a first new Fizz plan.
You should find a place to put a referral code somewhere during registration !
