Answered question

What can I do to deactivate HOST CODA with ip adress 192.168.0.254 from my network?

After reseting my CODA-4680, I do a network scanner and find this devices in network: ip 192.168.0.1 (gateway with login page for administration) and ip 192.168.0.254 (host CODA with a different mac address, open ports 111,139 and 445). Of course, I also find my phone from where I do may network scanner with «Network scanner app» (ex. 192.168.0.11). I don't understand why this second host CODA should be in my network. I connect to 192.168.0.1 to administer router, so why should another devise is created and for doing what? How can I deactivate second host? Thank you

Hi Javier

that is the service for the storage (SMB) I do not think that is your modem

you can try

Admin > USB Storage and disable it

I never try it, but this must be enough

Edited

But I believe that is your NAS since you have a different Mac

Thank you for your answer. It sounds logical. But i've already disabled USB Storage and CODA host keeps alive in network.
From hitron site, I understand that CODA host means DLNA Media Server.
«Four Devices in One
The CODA-4680 integrates four solutions into a single device: a multi-gigabit DOCSIS 3.1 modem, a home router with four Gigabit Ethernet ports for blazing fast wired connections, an 802.11ac dual-band access point for superior wireless coverage and speed, and a DLNA Media Server with support for video, audio and image serving.»

But disabling «Administration settings/USB Storage/Shared status» doesn't deactivate CODA DLNA Server (assuming that CODA in ip address 254 is DLNA Media Server, as we understand).

My worry is why I can't close useless open ports because of this DLNA Server that I don't use? (pictures of network scanner attached). If you see pictures, just take in account that I've changed Gateway ip address for 192.168.1.1 and then CODA server changed for 192.168.1.254.

Thank you in advance.
