Answered question
I have a small apartment and the wifi does not reach at a couple meters away from the router... What can I do?
Hi Stephanie
I will try to modify the configuration, start disabling the Wifi Steering
1- Log in at: 192.168.0.1 from the web browser of any device.
2- Log in using the following information:
Username: cusadmin
Password: xxxxxxxx (Password you chose during initial setup)
3- Go to the next section to apply changes:
Wireless → General Settings → 5GHz → Band Steering (Disable)
After
Try manually selecting different Wi-Fi channels on your modem
A series of channels are available on each frequency (2.4 and 5 GHz) of your Wi-Fi modem. Interference can have an impact on these channels.
Manually changing the channels used for your Wi-Fi connection can improve your modem’s signal.
1- Connect to your Wi-Fi network.
2- Open the browser on any device, and enter the address 192.168.0.1
3- Log in using these credentials:
Username: cusadmin
Password: (Enter your password, the one you chose when you initially configured your network)
4- In the green bar, select Wireless.
5- Then select:
General settings
5 GHz and/or 2.4 GHz
Wireless channel
6- Select a different channel.
Choose a channel that’s far from the one your modem currently uses, and test it for a few days to see whether things improve or not. Ex. Go from channel 6 to 11. Or, from channel 6 to 1.

If all of this does not help, you have 2 options, put the modem in bridge mode and use your own router or contact the support.
You can also contact customer support by chat, from 8 AM to 9 PM every day:
1- Connect to your Fizz account by clicking « Login » in the top right corner at fizz.ca
2- Any ad blockers in your browser should be disabled.
3- Click on this link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/none-my-devices-can-access-interne...
4- The green chat bubble should appear after a few seconds in the bottom right corner.
Your can also send a message via facebook messanger https://facebook.com/fizzca and click send a message (this is a bit slower)

Like Mike said, disable wifi steering.
You have to disable wifi steering.
Mike, I can't log in on the web browser using my fizz password?
if you still have any problem, you can ask fizz on the live chat through the website, facebook messenger or twitter. They are usually there 24/7 on social media. They will be glad to help you!

This is strange, if the wifi password does not work try with the default password wrote on a sticker affixed to the back of your Wi-Fi modem
If nothing helps, you need to do a factory reset
Using a thin, pointed object, hold the restart button on the Wi-Fi modem for 10+ seconds.
Once your modem has restarted, follow the same instructions as when you first installed it.
IMPORTANT: this operation will reset any changes that have been made to the settings of your Wi-Fi modem to date. You may also have to reconfigure the Wi-Fi settings of your devices (network name, password, etc. .)
The default username of your Wi-Fi network, as well as the corresponding password, are written on a sticker affixed to the back of your Wi-Fi modem (Default Wi-Fi network and Default key).
Maybe you have interference from your neighbors? Have you tried to put the modem in a different spot?
Once you've figured this out I would put Mike as the top answer on this one.
I hope you got it working
