I've been sent a second modem, how do I return it?

I've recently moved and kept my fizz internet plan, at my new address when the technician came to check up the signal he gave me a new modem and told me to use this one as the old one wouldn't work. How can I return the old one? The technician didn't know what to do either and why he was giving me a new modem.
