Changing plan

I want to change my plan for my next payment cycle but it says it can only do so after a certain date (which is the day of my next payment). Im trying to reduce my data but I'm afraid its gonna charge me before I get the chance to change my plan.
It says you can change your plan at any time and it will be applied to your next payment cycle (which is exaclty what im trying to do) but it doesn't seem to be working for me.

Hi LudaD

When is your next renewal? If it is within 48 hours, then you cannot make any plan changes and you will have to wait for the next time.

Plan changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance of your plan renewal.

Mine was blocked because I had an appointment and worked fine after that
