My appointment is today and I would like to know if i'm supposed to receive a notification and also if i'm supposed to have received the modem before the installation?

No, you do not receive any notification, some technician is calling you
The modem is delivered by the technician6 -
Marianne just need to stay at your place during your schedule and the technician will do the rest with the modem.6
