Locked out after changing router access password?

I identified a bug where you get locked out of the web interface and cannot log in to the router after changing the password. The issue is that the quotation mark [ " ] special character is forbidden in passwords for the router's cusadmin account. However, you get no warning message saying that this is an invalid password nor is it written anywhere that some characters are not supported. You just get locked out of the software and you have to factory reset the modem to gain access again.
