unlock phone

Hi, I am trying to get in touch with you so that you can unlock my cellphone. I have a SE I Phone and I changed to a new carrier yesterday, I was told to contact Koodo so that you can unlock my device. Thank you

Hi Melissa,

You have written your question in Fizz community forum. Fizz does not sell any phones, you will likely need to contact the original carrier who sold the phone to have it unlocked.

Note that in Canada, there are no charges/fees for unlocking phones.

This is exact. Since 2017, you don't have to pay to unlock your cell phone. You need to check with the company who sold you initialy the cell phone (if I understood, Koodoo here). So you'll be free to use it with any provider.

Only the company that sold you the phone initially can unlock it, and it's free to unlock it, Fizz can not unlock phones since they don't cell any.
