do i have to contact the CRTC concerning this issue or what?

i dont understand why i bought a phone but it is locked with fizz. there is no way to call them or chat with them. all the contact info provided are simply wrong. there is np chat bubble there is no contact number. there is nothing. but theu do ask me to contact them to have the code but howwwwwww. if i have to share this issue with the crtc let me know please. because this is a huge mistake. have you guys ever heard about The Wireless Code???

Hi,
There two step you can try:
First step: Try to reach the original phone company to unlock the phone, fizz don't sell phone.
Second step if fail: You can verify if your phone is blacklisted on national list. If the phone is blacklisted you can't use it & can't register it to any provider. You need to provide the IMEI number, you will find it on the box of the device or by entering in the phone calling application the following code: *#06#. After you found the IMEI number just go to this website to see if the phone is blacklisted on the national list:

If the phone is not blacklisted, normally you can activate it on Fizz Network!

Why you say that the phone is locked with Fizz?

On my knowledge Fizz cannot block your phone.

Here's how to contact customer support by chat, from 8 AM to 9 PM everyday:

1. Connect to your Fizz account (if you have more than one, connect to the one that has the problem) by clicking « Login » in the top right corner at fizz.ca
2. Click on this link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-unlock-my-phone
3. The green chat bubble should appear after a few seconds in the bottom right corner.

Fizz can't block your phone, it is a prepayment service, and you have to use your own device.
