Travel Add on for texting not working in Europe

Hi!
I’ve successfully purchased a travel add on for texting and calling in the European Coverage area. Now that I have arrived, I restarted my phone a couple of times but I still cannot send any text messages, I can only receive them. Any ideas why this is happening?

Yes, the calling doesn't work outside north america

Calling from abroad (when outside your coverage area):

Please note that it is currently impossible to make or receive calls while roaming. As soon as a firm date is available, info will be detailed here.  In the meantime, you can use data, and send/receive texts when you travel outside Canada and the U.S. To make and receive calls, you can use messaging apps such as WhatsApp or Messenger.

Thanks for responding. I had understood calling would not work at the time of purchasing the add-on, I am asking specifically about texts messaging in this case.

Normaly, If you can receive text, you can send it. Do you want to send text to your cover or to Europe? consider including the international index for the recipient +1 (north america) +33 France +34 Spain +44 UK

Please, check the APN settings on your phone.
Thoses settings are also important for sms (and data).
It can be why you cant send text.

forget all the posts regarding the APN, this will help only for MMS, and for MMS you need data ,people here likes points

Even with a poorly configured APN, you’ll be able to make and receive calls and texts. You will also have internet access when connected to a Wi-Fi network.

 

Try to change the network operator, after that if you are not able to send SMS contact the support
