Why is my number being answered by someone else?

I recently transferred my number to Fizz, but people are calling me and someone else is answering.
Any idea?

Apologies for the encountered issue.

Is this issue encountered with all the people that call you or just some? Could you please verify with them if they are dialing the correct number to reach you and if so, could you please try to reboot your phone and make a network switch to Fizz EXT for 30 seconds then switch back to Fizz and test? Very strange, did you try to call yourself with a different phone to be sure that they call the right number

If you call someone with the caller id it is shown the right number?

 

Did you enable the call forward by mistake?

You can also fill a contact form from your account Once logged in, from the account panel go to My Profile → Contact Form (the subject are limited) and fill out the form and someone will email you back.

Do call your number and verify what happens. If it was your number to begin with, and you ported it, then I don't see how your incoming calls end up somewhere else. If they are not mis-dialling, then you should contact Fizz for an explanation.

Sounds like you have call forwarding set.  Call your number from a different phone than your mobile and see what happens.  If your phone did not ring and someone answers, explain the situation and ask them their phone number

Can you provide a bit more information about things that you have already tried? For instance, people have mentioned trying to call yourself or checking if call forwarding is on. Also have you tried calling someone to see if your number shows up on the call display?
