Is the recipient notified when I gift data?

Does it simply add the data to the monthly allowance or it also notifies the person saying that they have been given data? If so, does it say who gave them data or it's anonymous?

There's only one way to find out, by sending me a gift :-). Just kidding! The receiver gets an email and it includes persons first and last name.
