Why are dates shown backwards on the fizz portal?

This is a Canadian carrier, and yet I think all the dates on the website are shown "MM/DD/YYYY" (i.e. "US style"). This is very confusing. I thought I was going to have more months to use my minutes than I actually did. Please change this, no one writes dates that way here...
My browser language is set to "English (Canadian)".
