Why can't I log in on community hub successfully every time?

Apparently I'm logged in now that I can ask this question, but I'm not lucky every time like today. When I click on "login" on community hub, I'm taken to the Fizz home page, where I logged in using my email, and I stay on that home page. So I manually click on "community hub" under "help" menu to come back, and I'm still not logged in. I can repeat this many times, but I just cannot log in.

This depends on the day. Today, I tried a few times, and this time, I'm lucky.

I've read your older post https://community.fizz.ca/questions/2212390-can-t-log-community-hub-successfully-time which may be related to the issues your are having here.

 

I would suggest to have your Fizz account (services and community) use the "email" login authentication (not the cross-service authentication with Facebook or Google).  You can actually login with a Gmail email without it being the Google authentication.

The authentication for the Fizz account (services) and the Community are done the same way and your browser should maintain the session with either one.  This means that once you're logged on, you should not have to retry multiple times.

 

Notice that if you are idle (browser not doing anything on the site) after a period of time, then you will be asked to re-logon since the server figures you've left.

 

I've also noticed that when I logon to the French Community then click on the English Community, I'm asked to re-logon.  I guess the server sees this as two seperate sites (or they don't share the browser session information).

 

Once I've logged on to both, then I can switch between them with no problem, unless I go get a cooffee and then my sessions expired.

Then, open a second window and type this adress:
https://fizz.ca/en/contact-us
Wait a few seconds until you see the green chat bubble down to the right of the page.
When you see it, click on it.
Your chat session begins.

I had trouble logging in as well, and it turned out I was not able to use the community when I was logged in using Google instead of my email. You specifically mention logging in using your email so perhaps it's not the same issue, but just in case it helps I wanted to mention that the way you're logged in seem to have an effect in the community.

It's beenna bit buggish yes

Log into your account first. Then click "My Profile", it will make you login again. After that, head over to the community hub and press login. You will immediately be logged in. You are welcome.

It happens to me too once in a while. Looks like another bug on the website.
When I'm redirected from the community page to Fizz homepage, I log in there, and then I open the community page again. Then I'm able to log in to the community.

Its been bugging +++
