Answered question

Best 4K video streaming sites to exercise your Fizz internet

Just bought a 4K TV and I’m loving it. But I’d love to find more 4K streaming options.

Netflix: Lots of Dolby Vision and Ultra 4K content
Amazon: Some 4K HDR content
Apple TV+: Limited content but it’s all in Dolby Vision and looks stunning
Crave: 720p WTF???

Any other streamers available in Canada I’m not thinking about?

I’m on the 60mbps plan and find 4K content loads quickly 90% of the time.

You could go for

  • Youtube
  • HBO

I don't have anything else in mind.

HBO as a platform is not available in Canada. It’s content is however in Crave, which as I mentioned streams in 720p (!).

You could try nhllive.com if you like hockey for 60fps 4k streams.

Yeah Crave is really lagging behind... Disney+ also has some Ultra 4K (The Mandalorian for example) that is pretty dope

As much as I like scenic vistas and conspiracy theory videos - I’m going to pass on YouTube content for 4K. I do not use my TVs smart TV functions since no TV manufacturer gives a crap about people’s privacy or protecting private data. Using Apple TV 4K exclusively and YouTube app does not offer 4K.

How’s Disney’s 4K quality? On par with Netflix?

Thanks for the comment Victor, you’re right Crave did upgrade to technically 1080p on Apple TV. IMO it looks like the lowest bitrate possible, but it’s 1080. Hopefully for the price they charge they can deliver 4K (and 5.1 sound!) this year.
