how do you verify if your phone number can be ported?

how do you verify if your phone number can be ported
i'm in the correct coverage area
but i have seen some experienced issues
we are a family of 4 so i want to make sure we are all ellegible
is there an area i can enter the numbers to verify?

    i understand, but im looking for a verification method
    is there not a way to verify the actual number via a verification prompt like other providers
    people on the forrum have said that some of their numbers would not port for reason x or y
    even though they were in the correct area

    For my experience here, if you check your coverage and you are in a subscription area your phone will work.
