Answered question

Why do we sometimes get "This answer is undergoing moderation" when posting?

I've seen this happen a few times when replying to a thread.

"This answer is undergoing moderation. It will have to be approved by the administrators before it is made public."

Why do we get prompted by that message?

Like any other community forums, Fizz has put into place some automatic checks.

If your post contains suspect keywords or phrases, it will be flagged for pending moderation.

I have noticed that posting a French reply on the English forum will often fall into moderation.

I would think it's because the post triggered some automatic censor checks, such as a simple check for "known" censored words. These posts would then need a human to properly evaluate if they pass censors or not.

Normally, your post will go through. Most likely, it's because of some combinations of words that have been used. A moderator will have to manually approve your question before it gets posted. Nothing to worry about. Give it a couple of hours before it is posted. It does happen from time to time.

It happenned to me a lot a while back (1 month ago) but it's been good the last few weeks.

@Fizzy, I think that's it. I was trying to post in English in the "Êtes-vous hésitant à rejoindre Fizz?" thread that was made on the English board here and got that message. So it looks like if the language you're posting in doesn't correspond to the language the thread was started in, you'll get that message.
