Hello everyone,

Turns out the stabilization period will end on October 17, 2019. This means you have until October 16 to activate your SIM card or make changes to your mobile plan. The new prices of our mobile plans will be in effect, and posted on our website, on October 17.

@Mike - the price is changing for those activating, changing their plan on or after the 16th of October. I believe you already have an active line with Fizz, right? If yes - the followng applies to you:

For members who subscribed BETWEEN April 12, 2019 AND October 15th, 2019 inclusively:

When you subscribed to Fizz during the stabilization period, you were informed that your plan was to switch to its regular price once that period was over. But to thank you for your patience and collaboration, you get to keep the price you are paying now until early 2020. You will be notified of the switch to the regular price 30 days in advance. It is important to note, however, that if you change your plan on or after October 16, you will lose the price you’re paying now, and regular prices will apply.

For members who subscribed BEFORE April 12, 2019:

Your plan was supposed to switch to its launch price come the end of the stabilization period, but to thank you for being true ambassadors from the get-go, the price you are paying now will stay the same.1 It is important to note, however, that if you change your plan on or after October 16, you will lose the price you are paying now, and regular prices will apply.

EDIT: Not sure I answered your original question, but as we are not changing the prices for our members, the one-month delay is not required.

Thanks,

Jay

That is great news. But your memo says that things have improved over the past weeks, but I had 1 day of no service just last week - and it was the first time since the outages in April?!?

@Whizz: Does this mean that all shortcode SMS are fixed? And that SMS no longer have delays to send or receive? Thanks!

Now that fizz will get a higher influx of funds (hopefully) from full price plans, I look forward for the company to keep evolving and implementing newer technology like visual voicemail.
In the mean time I am glad that we keep our prices until early 2020

.

Does this mean that if i change my plan to something else I will keep that reduced price as long as I keep that new plan?

@Takion

Nope, not quite.

Changes made BEFORE October 16, 2019:

If you change your plan before October 16, reduced prices will apply (even if these changes will come into effect after October 16).

Changes made STARTING October 16, 2019:

If you change your plan on or after October 16, regular prices will apply.

Thanks.

The 30 day notification that we were promised would have been nice. I had planned to use my plan in the US this month, but now I'll have to find another solution.

@GOAT: you can make the change now. As Fizzy said "Changes made BEFORE October 16, 2019:

If you change your plan before October 16, reduced prices will apply (even if these changes will come into effect after October 16)." So it means anyone who wants to change the plan, you have to do it before October 16th, no matter when the effect date is.

So what will be the regular prices? Are those the prices that we see crossed out when showing the current, reduced pricing? Or are the "regular" prices not being shown? Thanks!

The 10% off is not mentioned on your bills but you have probably the rigth price.

Jay, why not stay competitive and keep those low rates? Im sure its still profitable and Fizz would be the only compagny that low. Which finally would be real competing.
