So I customized my plan for Canada and USA coverage but wen I went online to check my account it says my coverage is canada wide. I checked my payment history and I was charged the extra 5$ for the Canada and USA coverage but my account says it’s only Canada coverage. So I’m wondering if this is just a glitch or will I actually be charged extra for roaming fees?
You will not be charged roaming fees. All services are prepaid so you have to pay for the service before you can use it.
When you make a plan change, it will take effect at your next renewal date.

Since this is a prepaid service, and if you don't have any money in your wallet, you will not be charged any extra roaming fees.
A way to test if you have Canada and USA coverage and you have a display is to call a USA number. If you don't have Canada and USA coverage, you will hear a message saying that your plan does not allow you to make a the call. If this is the case you will need to conctact support to rectify your siguation.
I have CAN/USA too, how could you check it ? I can only see how many data I have left.
