Why cant I call or receive calls

I just activated my fizz sim card and now nothing works on my phone its been more than 12 hrs

It says that i have no sim card1

Check that the SIM is well inserted in the tray, your phone was SIM locked? (Usually you are supposed to have different message, therefore I do not think that this is your problem.)
Check that your phone has the latest update?
Restart your phone1 -
Ok so all that is done when i put the sim card in it says that its in. But when i try to txt it says no sim card1
