Is there a way to Transfer my Number from Thunder Bay to Fizz?

Hello,
I am new to Ottawa and I am in need of a new plan. I decided to choose Fizz, but when I try to activate the SIM card, my phone number (with an 807 Area Code) gets rejected with no notification. According to the FAQ, you cannot transfer numbers outside of Quebec or Ottawa, and I am from Thunder Bay, Ontario.
I am wondering if there is any workaround to transferring my number WITHOUT CHANGING MY NUMBER. Since changing my number would cause a lot of personal and business issues on my end.
If there is no such solution, then I sadly cannot use Fizz and I will have to seek out another service provider.

Unfortunately, you can only use a number local to Fizz, and Fizz has no service in Thunder Bay.10

Thanks for the reply. I would also like to know if I did get Fizz and I returned to Thunder Bay to visit, would I have any service at all?10

Yes, you'd have cell phone coverage anywhere the major players (roger/telus/bell) have coverage, but it would be on a partner network rather than the Fizz network. Make sure to chose Canada (or can/us) coverage if you plan to leave the province. There are limits to the length of time you can be primarily on partner networks, but a short visit isn't an issue.11

You need to get a new number when you activate your Fizz sim.
You won't have a problem in Thunder Bay if you have Canada coverage. The limit on partner network is not more than 50% of time during three consecutive months, so there is no problem if you stay less.10
