What was the speed with you previous Internet provider? Was it faster or slower?

Here's some factors to consider inside or even outside of your home that can affects you speed.

By the way, most of the internet package nowadays are advertised as “up to” a specified Mbps and it's not a promise you'll get that speed.

Your computer himself or your smartphone can be the problem. Same thing with your modem and router. Have you double checked the settings?

Even the distance between the router and your devices can affect Internet speeds.

How many devices are connected to the internet when you test your speed?

Many devices using the Internet at the same time compete for the same speeds and can slow things down.

Outside your home, heavy traffic on a site or browsing during the peek hours can be a problem.

Also, are you located in a very crowded building? Near or far from the internet junction box?

You know, there's a lot of technical factors to consider that can explain a speed slower than what you pay for.

If you switched for Fizz, there's a good chance that you weren't satisfied of your previous provider.

If the speed with your other provider wasn't that good, maybe it can explain why you can't get the speed you pay for with Fizz.

Did you tested with the Wifi?
You need to test it with the ethernet cable.

You need to check with a wired ethernet connection first.

Here are tips provided by Fizz: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/i-connected-my-device-using-network-cable-my-internet-connection-slow-how-do-i-fix-it

If above testing yields subpar speeds, then you need to contact Fizz support.

Hard wired connection is always the best. I have a 60mbps connection, and a PS4 connected with wi-fi. It usually never gets that high. 30, 40 mbps max. Lots of interference, I guess... or I microwave popcorn whilst gaming too much..

with cable internet the speed is quite stable and usually very close to what you sign up for. Either your test or the connection setup have issue or Fizz's mistake to set you up on the 10Mbps profile. I suggest you contact Fizz to find out if you profile is ready setup for 60Mbps on Fizz's server. This is a common mistake that all ISP made.
