Voicemail not working when my phone is off?

My voicemail does not work intermittently when I am not accepting calls, or my phone is off. Recorded message telling caller my number is out of service when it is not.

There is a known issue with the voicemail not working while on FIzz EXT. While we are in Stabilization period, the Fizz team is dedicated to solving it.

 

Are there other times your voicemail is working? If it never worked, you have to set it up.

If you recently added voicemail to your plan, you have to wait until the next billing cycle for it to activate.

 

Otherwise, contact Fizz support so they can take a look with you.

Fizz voice mail said known number when i access it. Removed it to save you $1

Yup, happens to me too when on airplane mode or off. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. But generally same goes for incoming phone calls when phone is on, too. Usually works, sometimes a strange error message about the customer being unavailable, and also no voicemail. I assume at some point it'll get fixed during stabilization.............. ;/

Re: Fizz EXT... voicemail works if you are on Bell or Telus Fizz EXT towers, not on a Rogers Fizz EXT tower.

I haven't noticed any issue, but it seems like others have. I'll have to do some testing!

Yes Fizzy, I have activated my voicemail.... it's been on/active for 4 months.

This is a known issue, I've been experiencing the same thing. If it's concerning, try contacting their support page and see if they can help you.
