Transferring my number

Yesterday before the outage I set up my plan and paid for it however it seems as if my number did not transfer and I received a new number from fizz instead. I messaged them on Facebook messenger 24hrs ago now and don’t know what else I could do.

Here is my understanding :
You cannot port your number to Fizz after another number has been given to you.
If your other number is still in service with other provider and if you want to keep it, you should buy another sim card and select the porting option during the activation process.

Perhaps if you re-activate the sim card, you might be able to port in your number. For this option, you need to chat with Fizz to confirm if this would be a viable solution
