port number from fido , shall I do something on fido side to cancel ?

I did the port number from fido to fizz. It's already working. I have a doubt about my old account at fido . It will be cancelled automatically or I need to contact fido and claim a cancellation plan for their side ?

No. It took 1:30 to get my transfer done from Fido to Fizz and around 24 hours to get my last invoice, including a credit, from Fido. Got a cheque from Fido 2 weeks after.

You can check if an amount is due with them. If yes, it's probably better to pay them first. But DO NOT mention them you want to cancel, cause you'll lost your number. Make sure the transfer is completed before to call them. They will probably try to call you back to make you an offer. They called me 4 times to keep me as one of their customers.
