I would like to change to present phone on the plan for another one how can I do that?

    Not sure i understand your question. If you already have a plan and simply want to change phones, remove SIM from old phone and insert in new phone. Phone must be unlocked and compatible.

    The best way to check if your new phone is compatible is to visit https://www.frequencycheck.com/. Do a search for a specific phone and click on "check country/carrier compatibility", then look for Videotron.

    To be compatible, you need these frequencies : 

    • Calls: Your device must support HSPA 850 MHz or 1900 MHz frequencies
    • Mobile data: Your device must have dual-frequency support for 1700/2100 MHz (also called AWS or band IV)

     

    Otherwise, as Joseph said, simpli put the Fizz sim on the new phone, and configure the APN and voilà!

    It's not a problem to change your unlocked smartphone for a new one but you have to be sure he's compatible. Verify the frequencies specs of the new device and just pull the SIM card from the old phone then put it in the new and here you go.

    Get iPhone 7 and above. Upgrade to new firmware . Plug old sim.
