Beta price/Add-ons ++ When is it activated?

Don't know if anyone can help me on this one,
If I benefited a Beta price for my monthly payments, will it cancel it if I add let's say 6$ for calling in Mexico? As it seems to not "change" my plan, but only adding an "add-on"?
Also, when does the minutes for Mexico activate when I purchase them, right away? Or only the next billing month?

An add-on does not afftect your beta / introduction price.
An add-on take effect right away.10
