Carrier name no longer showing?

My iPhone no longer shows “Fizz” at the top left next to the signal strength bars. I just see the wifi bars or 3G symbol next to the cellular signal bars. It’s been this way since this morning. Is there any significance to this?

Try to reboot your iphone, check for unlock codes, or sync with iTunes.

It shows up today. Did not have to do anything - I suspected it was a Fizz issue. I was curious if anyone knew why it happened, and what it signified in terms of network access or other services.
