Unanswered question

Is Fizz starting to fizzle?

Or has it already fizzled out? Even soda doesn't go flat this quickly!

If the current network failure was due to high traffic demand, that means they got increase in subscribers, which is good news. Software isnt magic
It gets right after a lot of trial and error.

I think we all want them to succeed - it is in everyone’s best interest if they do. Unfortunately, this quality of cellular service has not been seen since the late 90s.

They just rushed things. Videotron needs to put some quality resources into Fizz and make sure everything is working right. Then they can sit back and count the money.

They set up the company with minimum resources. They might not even have a replicate system. When one system fails, the other same system kicks off automatically. That is why we got two service breakdowns within two weeks.

The thing that's killing me is the lack of transparency. Saturday morning they throw us something along the lines of "So yeah, the network is back but some of you won't have any data, k sorry bye"

And since then, not so much as a single peep. Luckily I have H+ coverage, but for how long?

When you guys signed up, you acknowledged that the service would be unstable, and quite frankly as most of the service providers like Bell and Rogers that we hear about day in day out with their great services, as you may not believe it, they used to be exactly like how Fizz was. With all of their marketing they have attracted a great amount of customers for the hardware they have allocated to the project, hopefully by the 19th most of the issues will be fixed. Just look at Public Mobile, they have had bad service since day one. And it's recently gotten alot better. For the introductory pricing, I surely see potential if you just give them time.

@Chris, the problem is there's been no improvement since day 1 of beta, things have only gotten worse. There's no way there will be any improvement in 9 days.
.
As for Public Mobile, they were awful because they started from the ground up, building out their own network. They eventually got bought out by Telus and were converted into an MVNO, which is why things got better. Videotron started out as an MVNO on the Rogers network. I guess nobody was taking notes during that time because Videotron seems to have forgotten how this works.

While that is understandable Alexandre B. , They have been actively working on fixing the issues, Id expect that they will have most issues sorted out soon enough. Let's just play the waiting game.

Love the headline, grabs our attention ;)

In essence, we didn't even get started yet - so hard remark to state. A quick search will show you not one telecom our company for that matter started with 0 issues/problems. This is not an excuse for us, but it's just a way of being transparent with all of you. The greater the challenges now, the smoother things will be later on - keep the faith folks!!

Yeah I'm ready to bet whoever wrote this thread works for one of the big three carriers who are scared of what videotron could achieve with Fizz.
