Answered question
Hello All,
I can’t figure out how to turn on iMessage on iphone 6splus. I can turn the service off for my email but my phone number with imessage is not working. When I try to activate it, it says that an error occured during activation.
Any clue how to get it working? I ported in yesterday.
Have you tried deactivating it and reactivating??

Sorry. I'm an android guy.

Well I have asked the same question and this is what I was told. “iMessage won't work, since business SMS are not supported yet (check other posts).” I’m not sure if that clarifies anything but it sure does boggle my mind. If you get any other solutions please post
Oh wow, so I guess this is a problem that everyone is having. I wonder if there’s an ETA for that!
"soon" is the ETA we get for past 30 days
Known issue: see the answer from Wizz in this thread: https://community.fizz.ca/questions/1803572-sms-apps-2-factor-authentication-going-work
Basically any short SMS code are not being sent or processed by the network.
Has been on-going for 1+ month.
Hey George,
JP is on the ball with his response - however, iMessage and the 2-factor authentications are two separate/unique issues we're currently working on. The imessage or Apple authentication issue should be fixed soon- I don't have an ETA but it will be soon enough.
Cheers,

As I understand it, iMessage and FaceTime can work 2 different ways. First through youre Apple identifier, meaning a valid email address and secondly through your cell phone provider using your phone number. If I'm connected to Internet (WI-FI or LTE) iMessage and FaceTime works just fine throug email connection.
Make sure you email address is the one checked in your iMessage send and receive settings.
Hope this will help while waiting for full implementation of the service.
Any update?
My iMessages are still not activated?

It was working for 1 day and now it fails again and all my iMessages are now being sent as txt messages.
Fizz is definitely not a reliable service. This should not even be considered beta.

It's not in Beta anymore. They went live with these issues
Wow. This is ridiculous. The most basic tests, especially for a cell phone provider, and it is still. It working.
And to top it off, there is no way to get a hold of any customer service.
Very disappointing.
Hey franco,
I'm sorry to hear about your frustration(s) with our services, please do understand we are working very hard to fix these annoying issues... Please let me know if this issue has been resolved for you?

@J.S.
iMessage issue has been resolve few days ago...
Check your phone configuration, better if you could test the SIM with another iPhone.
Cheers :)
