Answered question

iPhone 6 not connecting to LTE, just 3G

I have seen the other posts about fixing this issue but none of the suggestions have helped me. I have fully updated the phone, restarted several times, reset network settings, double checked that LTE is selected in mobile data settings, toggled airplane mode on and off etc. All these things have resulted in still being stuck with 3G.

The issue is likely sim related because even in my android phone with the settings correctly configured for lte i still get 3G/no itnernet

I turned on the phone again this morning to try your suggestions and the phone started in 3G (internet didn't actually work) and then switched to LTE (internet now works with a speedtest result of 75mbps to 90 mbps) on its own before I did anything.

My assumption is that the phone line was not fully activated yesterday. I received an email this morning saying my line is now fully activated. This makes sense from a technical standpoint as I am familiar with how Videotron's systems work, the company that owns Fizz and the network it runs on, but this should be rectified such that the line activates immediately rather than during an overnight update.

Where are you located? Can be a coverage issue?
Also - Have you also enabled cellular data roaming under settings -> cellular -> cellular data options? That may be worth a try as well.
