Haven't been able to receive txts this evening. I realise that there is some on ongoing system maintenance. Anyone else?

If you're a New client, it could be your NPA.
If you're not, then it could be the maintenance.
If it's still not working this i, contact Fizz support.

Hi. Not a new client. Been with Fizz since the beginning. Haven't been able to receive txts since Wed afternoon. Everything else seems to be all ok.

Fizz warned us that they were doing a system maintenance and this was to be expected till July 31st inclusively.
    Link to that webpage: https://fizz.ca/en/faq-stabilization-period
Also, check your APN settings if you are on Android: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn
    Hope that helps!

Try to put your phone in airplane mode and put it back to normal 20 seconds later. Also try to restart.

If it hasn't been resolved, you will need to contact support for help: https://fizz.ca/en/contact-us

One of the first things they will ask you to do is to reboot your phone and see if that helps (or you can just toggle airplane mode).

Since this is SMS (and not MMS), your APN does not have any effect on your ability to send/receive SMS.

Fixed ! Thanks to all for the help and suggestions. I had already tried the reboot but no go. This morning I turned off the "auto" option for the network connection and tried to connect to the Videotron, Bell networks etc. When I put it back to "auto " mode it reconnected to Fizz and my outstanding texts from yesterday all came in. Maybe if I had tried the "airplane option" that would have fixed it as well. Thanks again for the help !
